Róisín Duffy

Róisín is a native of County Cavan, and graduated from DCU in 2016 with an honours degree in English and Gaeilge. After spending some time teaching in the Middle East, she then
completed her PME in NUIG through the medium of Irish. She has spent time in the
Gaeltacht regions of Connemara and Donegal, both as a student and a teacher. Róisín likes
to create a fun and creative learning environment, and these themes were explored in her
final year thesis on the influence of affective teaching strategies on intrinsic motivation.
Róisín has a particular interest in GAA, and has played from a young age, both at home and
in the Middle East. In addition to her playing career, she is the Irish Officer for her local GAA
club. Róisín also has a keen interest in reading and debating.
