Aisling Forde

West of Ireland native Aisling is a Spanish and Italian teacher graduating with a BA International degree in Spanish and Italian and subsequently completing the PME at University of Galway.  During her undergraduate degree, she received an award from the Italian Cultural Institute of Ireland for her academic achievements in the final year of her degree.

Aisling participated in the Erasmus programme during her studies and lived in both Verona and Salamanca during the academic year.  While studying abroad, she taught English at after school clubs and gave private lessons to young children which cemented her decision to complete the Professional Masters in Education in 2019. 

Aisling has been a proud member of the staff here at Belmayne since 2020. She is an enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable teacher who provides a student-centred education. Aisling is a strong advocate for student wellbeing and mental health. Her classroom is a place where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. 

During her time working at Belmayne ETSS, Aisling was awarded with a postgraduate diploma in 20th Century Teaching and Learning from Trinity College Dublin. The skills she developed throughout this course can be seen clearly in her student-led, technology mediated lessons. She leads the modern foreign languages department here at Belmayne. Aisling is extremely passionate about language acquisition and seeks to instil this love in her students. 

Outside of work, Aisling is a keen runner and can be spotted pounding the pavements in search of a PB or scoring trys with her local tag rugby team in Drumcondra.
