Dearblha Gallagher

Dearbhla brings over twenty years of experience in the finance industry to her
teaching, having advised both private and public companies on mergers and
acquisitions, capital raising and strategic financial decisions. She combines this
extensive real-world business expertise with a passion for education, making
Business and Accountancy engaging, relevant and practical for her students.
Prior to joining the school, Dearbhla taught at St Fintan’s High School, Sutton and
Manor House School, Raheny. She holds a Professional Master of Education from
Dublin City University and a Commerce degree from University College Dublin. She
is a Qualified Financial Adviser and a registered representative of the Irish Stock
Exchange.
Dearbhla is passionate about empowering young people through financial literacy,
helping students develop the knowledge, confidence and critical thinking skills
needed for further study, future careers and informed-decision making. She is an
active member of the Business Studies Teachers’ Association of Ireland.
Outside the classroom, Dearbhla serves as Treasurer of the Parents’ Committee at
Gaelscoil Míde, Kilbarrack and is a keen runner.
