Emma Burrowes

Emma  currently teaches Science, Maths, STEAM and Coding in Belmayne ETSS. She studied Science Education in DCU and is currently undertaking a postgraduate course in 21st Century Teaching and Learning in Trinity College. She also holds ICT qualifications such as Apple Teacher and Google Certified Educator Level 2. Emma has a keen interest in using technology in the classroom to enhance student learning and to promote active learning strategies. Emma ran after school Science clubs and summer camps with the Science outreach company Anyone4Science from 2015 to 2018. She uses the knowledge she gained in this role to run a weekly Science club letting students perform experiments that they may not get to perform in Science class and learn about Science topics that are outside of the current Science curriculum. Alongside this she runs school Science fairs and facilitates students in entering Science competitions outside of school such as Scifest and Technovation.
