Jordan Harrison

Jordan grew up on a farm in Monaghan and loves the outdoors. He studied Design, Graphics and Construction in in the National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Technology provided by ATU (formerly GMIT). His philosophy of teaching is founded on educational theories such as multiple intelligences (Howard Gardener), Discovery Learning (John Dewey) and Universal design for learning (UDL). Having completed his thesis on the topic of UDL and how it can be effectively integrated into the technical classroom he has seen the positive impact on students if the appropriate groundwork is laid. In Jordan’s free time he can be found in the workshop designing and creating anything from fine furniture to skateboards! Spending time with his family and friends is also a key aspect of his life.
