Rosa Devine

Rosa is an art, design and technology teacher who studied in NCAD before moving to the UK to complete her teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Rosa worked in an academy in London as Head of Design & Technology and later
Coordinator for Art and Design & Technology. As an enthusiastic advocate of
STEAM education, she formed and coached the first all-girls’ team to win the Elite
Engineering Programme: Robotics Challenge in London, and the (joint) first all-girls
team to enter the Lego League. These students were invited to the British Parliament
as STEM Ambassadors in 2017.
While in the UK, Rosa completed the National Professional Qualification for Middle
Leadership in education and became an accredited Lead Practitioner, which
recognises teachers who ‘demonstrate outstanding expertise in their field’.
In her spare time Rosa continues to produce a small amount of professional design
work. Her illustration work has been printed and exhibited internationally and she has
won a number of awards for game design.
Since returning to Ireland, Rosa has completed a MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford and the Postgraduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching and Learning at Trinity College Dublin.
