Sandra Hanaphy

Sandra studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Kevin St, DIT. In 2008 she moved to London to complete the Post Graduate Certificate in Education with Mathematics, in St Mary’s University, Twickenham. After completion of the PGCE, Sandra worked in an academy school in London for 7 years. During this time, she was a Head of Year for 5 years with responsibility for over 200 students and 10 tutors. After having her first child, she moved to the West Midlands, UK, and following her maternity leave, joined a Local Authority school where she taught Maths for 3 years, and was responsible for embedding Maths Mastery and Growth Mindset into the Maths Schemes of Work.

Since moving home to Dublin with her young family, Sandra has worked for a year in a DEIS school, which involved team-teaching and supporting students with Additional Educational Needs. Sandra is a keen cinema-goer and Dublin GAA supporter – Up The Dubs!
