Passionate about learning languages, Trudie completed a B.A. in Languages (Japanese & French) from DCU in 2010 after which she moved to Japan to teach English as an additional language. Later, wanderlust took her to South America where she picked up Spanish. In 2019, she returned to education to complete a Higher diploma in Spanish in UCC and a Professional Master of Education from the University of Limerick.

In her classes, she strives to impart a love of languages and culture to her students and uses a communicative language approach ensuring that students gain confidence in the spoken language.

In her free time, she enjoys being in nature whether it be hiking, cycling, or sea swimming as well as travelling and learning about new cultures.
